To this day, our graduating class of 1974 is special. Our reunions are heavily attended and we have them nearly every year. Our class has spirit with a capital S.

As the photo shows, we decided to use our school colors of red and white to create the number 74 with our hats. It was quite the ordeal to get lined up so that it all worked right when people looked down at the football field. I can’t recall if there was any rearrangement after our “dress rehearsal”, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was.

The thing that most of us remember best is the folks who decided to bring an hibachi to the ceremony and grill I think it was hot dogs during the speeches. I’m sure the attendees were surprised to see the smoke coming up from the field.

  1. Clearly, your graduating class was a lot more organized than mine! I’ll bet the attendees wondered not what your classmates were cooking but what they were smoking.

Funny. Good, healthy ways for kids to say hey, we are here but we are only taking all this just so seriously. I bet you can conceal a lot of hot dog buns under those robes.
